During and after the pre-recording concert in Munich's Gasteig.
New York Experiences:
Two
of my current headshots. No darts, please.

Just keeping Santa happy.
With
my dog, Pal. I dedicated my first release of Voyage to Pal's memory - he died at age
13. I knew his mother and father, his grandmother and grandfather, and all the
people who owned them.
Cunard's Vistafjord Cruise Ship Experiences:3-month tour with "Classical Quintessence"
Pre-concert
backstage with Classical Quintessence
Post-concert, Vistafjord
Here's
my group Classical Quintessence just after a concert. I'm the one
sleeping...
The
Garden Lounge on the ship. Classical Quintessence gave formal concerts here twice a week - as a
quintet, and also as trios.
Here's
the instrumental trio component of Classical Quintessence. Cellist Victor Lawrence
from NYC is the only one awake in this shot. Adam Manijak from Poland and I are
sleeping. Adam, by the way, did all those great arrangements on my
CD, Voyage.
Here
I am with two of the ship's photographers.
It's Annette's (from Hamburg, Germany) birthday; she's the one in the middle. Ernie,
yes, female, is from London.
Here
I am with my best friend and music partner onboard the ship, soprano Danielle Munday from Denmark.
Her husband (tenor) had just left the tour before we boarded.
Here
I stand between two of the ship's waiters, who became my good friends. We're offshore
of Devil's Island on the South American coast (French Guiana), having just crossed the Atlantic. The
waiter on the right is the ship captain's son.
Here's
a bunch of us - dancers, photographers, cruise directors, the ship's doctor, et. al. - at
the bottom of the volcano on Tiede, a mountain on the island of Tenerife - in the Canary
Islands - I think. The reason I say "I think" is because we saw so
many places during the 3 months, that I simply cannot remember all them.
And here I am sitting on some way-too-tall wall in the ruins of Arles, France.
I am NOT good with heights.
With Victor Lawrence, cellist, in the ruins of Pompeii.
Here
I am atop another cliff, this time in Sorrento, Italy. You can see my ship, the
Vistafjord, down there waiting for me.
Again,
I'm high up - this time in Lisbon, Portugal. I thought Lisbon was probably the only
city that seemed unaffected by tourism. It seemed more genuine than other
port cities.
Taken December 2000 onboard the Queen Elizabeth II. I was visiting my friend, the
photography manager, for the day. The ship was docked in NYC.
CD Editing with Marco Granados (sunflute.com):
Flutist/editor Marco
Granados working on my CD, Voyage. You
can see what my sound looks like on his computer.
Here's
Marco again, being really, really serious.
And
here's Marco saying, "Whew!!!" (By the way, Marco is a
well known
flutist. Check out his site at sunflute.com.)
College Professor Days
This
is my professional headshot then.
After a concerto performance, Dr. William Ravelli conducting.
On
the floor in my Louisiana Tech University office.
Backstage with the principal trumpet player
Pre-New York Photos:
With Richard
Merbler, classical guitarist and duo partner for 12 years in Dallas. He's
a successful Rolfer now.
With Sheridan Stokes at the National Flute Association convention.
Sheridan plays flute for many, many movies.
With Julius Baker, NY Philharmonic principal flutist, after my performance.
With Judy Mendenhall in a duo performance for the Texas Flute Society. Judy is
principal flute with the American Ballet Theatre in NY.
With
my nephew Doug after playing for his sister Robin's wedding in Denver.
In performance with string quartet - NYC's St.
Bartholomew's Chapel
High School Pics:
Actually,
this is 8th grade. Scary.
I'm a tad older here, probably 10th grade. I'm the drum major, the
rest are majorettes and the band president, Warren Hoff.
This
is 11th grade. I made the Mississippi Lion's All-State Band, and I'm on the roof of
a hotel in
Chicago. I seem to have lots of pictures of me in high places, which is odd
since I'm afraid of heights.
And here I am (12th grade) in my high school senior play, State Farm - in
the center. That's my cousin in the middle.
The big day - high school graduation.
