Don Bailey, flute - Dianne Frazer Cross, piano

Don Bailey and Dianne Frazer Cross performed together for the first time in Washington, D.C. in August 2002.  A featured pianist for the National Flute Association's annual conventions, Dianne shared the stage with Don and fellow flutist/composer Katherine Hoover in a program honoring the long standing friendship between the flutists.  The concert was standing-room-only and a critical success.  Don and Dianne have continued their collaboration and come to you now as the touring duo - Bailey & Cross.

With individual careers spanning decades and continents, Bailey & Cross present lively, interesting, and varied programs. Their venues include the world's most prestigious halls, as well as intimate casual settings. Always sensitive to the ambience of each concert setting, their repertoire encompasses standard literature and the not-so-standard unusual and lighter works.  Don and Dianne love to share music with audiences of all types and ages. This love of music is the gift they bring to their performances.

Dianne Frazer Cross is a pianist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra and Opera Columbus. She has appeared in recital with musicians from around the world, including principal players from numerous orchestras. She has toured extensively with CSO principal bassist, Mark Morton, as well as her duo-piano team, the Cross-Meidar Duo. Dianne has been staff pianist for the International Society of Bassists, the National Flute Association (where she first performed with flutist Don Bailey), the International Trumpet Guild, the International Hornists Society, the American School of Double Bass, Lancaster Festival and the Central Ohio Flute Association. Her former trio, Capriccio, was a two-time finalist in the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Her most recent engagements include a return appearance at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, and a recital with world-renowned flutist Paula Robison. Dianne holds two performance degrees and has studied with George Haddad.
